J likes to sit quietly by herself. She's our only child who enjoys her own company enough to just sit alone, and be happy. She woke up super late a few days ago. I asked her if she just woke up and she said, "No, I was just awake in my room". I said, "Were you playing?". She said, "No, I just wanted to stay in my room". Here is a picture that I took of her yesterday (through the glass door so that she wouldn't see me). She decided it was a lovely day so she took her lunch outside and sat by herself enjoying nature.
Now that summer is finally over, my favorite rose bush is perking back up and starting to bloom a bit. It needs some attention, but looks to be recovering well.

Don't you just hate it when the rose bushes get black spot? We have a problem with it every year.
Congrats on the news of a baby boy! Boys are a wonderful change of pace. In my household, we have one of each. It is really nice to have both!
