We had our first Urgent Care visit yesterday. In the late afternoon the following happened (I'm copying from an email I wrote, so I don't have to retype)...Had to take L to the Urgent Care last night. B smashed her whole hand in the bedroom door, and also had accidentally locked the door with her hand trapped and everyone outside the room. It was completely mangled inside the door frame. I had to try to break it down. When it wouldn't break down, I ran downstairs and had to find the key thingy to get the lock undone. So, her hand was trapped for several minutes. When I got it out the fingers were crushed and one was sticking out at a crazy angle. Rushed her down to Urgent Care. They x-rayed it. Miraculously because she is still so young nothing was broken. Something about joints not being fused yet in babies. Anyway, her hand is swollen to twice it's normal size. As of today she figured out how to take off the bandage, so that's the end of that.

Oh, how sad. Poor L.
oh, poor little L. Her hands looks like it must hurt really bad! And poor you- didn't you have a killer headache?
Yes. The adrenaline cured my headache. Now I just feel like I fought a war. Trying to break the door down didn't help. My leg is killing me.
Did B feel bad?
For an hour until she forgot about it entirely. Kids are annoying like that. Even the baby seems to have forgotten that her hand is all swollen up.
