I'm having a hard time coming up with a cohesive topic today. So, here are some random thoughts and observations.
1. Nap time is a glorious, glorious invention. It is especially so, now that X has agreed to take an afternoon nap in his crib which he graciously coordinates with his sister's nap schedule. Priceless.
2. As I continue to emerge from the fog I've been in for the past 3 months, my life seems to be starting to get easier, despite the oppressive unconquerable mess in my house. Maybe I can coerce my mom into coming over sometime and helping me beat it back down to a manageable level. Or I could add it to the baby step list, though messes don't often respond to baby steps when there are 5 people who resist cleanliness.
3. It is so hot out that I fried the bottoms of my feet yesterday trying to step out of my back door and turn the hose on for the little pool. Not awesome.
4. I need a vacation. I was too tired to realize how badly until a few days ago.
5. I wish Daniel stayed home every day with us. I miss him when he's at work. Then, I feel guilty because we have family that are separated from their spouses every day. I should not miss him when he's just 12 miles away from 9am-6pm...but I do.

I agree on all the points, except the last one. Gary is home all summer studying for the boards, sometimes it is nice, but I do have to walk on eggshells to keep the house quiet for him. It is nice to have him here though.
Cut yourself some slack. With each new baby, it takes longer to re-group. It just takes time. I am not sure I have totally recovered from the begininning of parenting round 2!
I love your last point. You and Daniel have a good relationship. Brett works from home a good portion of the week and I LOVE it. Things just seem happier when he is around.
