Wildlife Park

The big girls and I went on a Girl Scout outing to a wildlife park today.
There were pony rides and a petting zoo (I hate petting zoos as much as I hate circuses). The usual photo ops, etc. The main attraction was the tram tour of the park. It was a very long tour (30-45min), and was well worth the cost of admission as the animals pretty much try to get right in the tram with you. Here are a few photos. I won't bore you with the balance of the 194 photos that I took. Yes, you heard me...194...I need an intervention.

that place is so crazy. i have very vivid memories of going there with audrey's preschool class.
1. mating ostriches on the tram ride
2. thinking i might get impaled by the longhorns trying to stick their heads in the trams
3. parker eating out of the animal food bucket in his lap.

all that is somewhere on my blog. oh man, i don't like animals. maybe you won't have to go back . . . :)

I love the pictures! I am really glad you got to go. I really want my grandchildren to love animals as much we do. How could anyone not love those beautiful animals. I could kiss their faces!

Mom: We'll have to go again in a year or two when the little peas get bigger. I think you would enjoy it. I enjoyed the tram tour. I just think petting zoos are cruel to animals and unpleasant in general. I wouldn't want strangers in my house touching me and my kids relentlessly against my will. With the tram tour, it's basically an animal sanctuary and they can choose whether to come up to the tram or not.

Ultra Tiger went there on his field trip this year and it was so incredibly cold that it was just not fun or worth it to me. I was happy we had only paid $5 each to go. I guess I will have to try it again sometime when it is warmer :) Glad you all had a good time.
