Bye Bye Bink

I had to have "the talk" with L a couple of days ago. The talk I've given on 2 other occasions so far (around 2003 and 2005). You know the one...regarding binkies being for babies. How you are such a big 2 year old girl now. Aren't you big and awesome? Don't you want everyone to understand the words you are saying? Etc, etc, etc. I try to make her feel "bink-free" rather than "bink-less". She's gone through 3 naps, and 2 nights with no binky so far. She's stolen her baby brother's bink a couple of times and taken a hit off it. Other than that and one bink related emotional breakdown this morning...it's going well. I always dread this milestone. It can be so dramatic.
