That's our trampoline in her yard. It broke a fence board, smashed her gutter and damaged a few of her roof shingles. She's not answering the door. I told Daniel to come home IMMEDIATELY and make this right with her. He will have to take apart the broken trampoline and pay for the damages to her house. I'm sure it took a few plants out too.**Edited to add: It also punctured a small hole in her roof.
I really want to throw up right now. How much do you think this is going to cost me? What are the chances she will find a reason to sue?

Can you sue God? Afterall he made the wind gust...
I hope the damages aren't too expenses and the neighbor isn't too cranky.
Hugs!
Why is it always the crochety neighbor's fence???? I am sure all will be well....
no way!! that is crazy. gosh, i don't know what i'd do! good luck! must post updates. :)
Oh! My! Goodness! Did you get to see it flying over the fence?
With her homeowners insurance it shouldn't cost you a dime - except for the peace offering you might want to take to her.
What's she going to sue you for? Emotional damage. Maybe she won't answer the door because it gave her a heart attack.
I don't know. We called out insurance company. Daniel patched up the roof for her. Our company said they would be out in 1-2 days. I figured it was best to report it to them and let them handle it. I told Daniel to tell her that she can call her insurance company also. Who knows how it will all go down. We've never had anything like this happen before.
Typo...We called OUR insurance company.
I made sure just now to tell her she should probably call her insurance so that they can work it out between them. I think it's better to let the insurance companies hash it out. I'm assuming we are responsible though since a piece of our property did damage to her property.
Joyce, I didn't see it flying because I was dragging the big kids away from the window and running upstairs to try and get the babies. The windows were shaking and I was afraid it was a tornado.
Wow! That's crazy. I don't think they can make you responsible though. That is what homeowners is for. In bigger storms I'm sure many a trampolines have taken out fences and homes but there is no way of keeping track of who's tramp did what to who. Good luck! It's a good thing you are honest. Some people would be like no I don't remember having a trampoline.
Sorry it's your property that did the damage you are responsible. Doesn't matter if it was an act of nature that made your property do the damage. Even if the neighbor has her insurance take care of it she still has to pay her deductible.
That sucks! We have seen the flying trampolines around here to when you get bad enough storms. Sorry that happened to you.
