Julianne's 7th Birthday part 2

We celebrated Julianne's birthday with a trip to Great Wolf Lodge (in Grapevine TX). We enjoyed the water park, just hanging out, and playing the MagiQuest game that is a part of the resort. On Tuesday, we checked out of the hotel, dropped Daniel off at the Dallas campus of his company for a day of meetings, and headed to the Science and Nature museum. We entertained ourselves there for the better part of the day then picked him up and headed home. Overall, it was a fun trip...but I am still recovering from massive exhaustion. It is a whole lot of work orchestrating that type of thing for 6 people. I'm still too tired to edit and pick out pictures...so here are a bunch thrown into a slideshow. :)

Fun. I love the photos. Just remembered we have a Great Wolf Lodge a couple hours north of us and thought it would be a nice cure for the cabin fever... until I saw the room prices. yikes! Haha.

That's why we didn't stay on a Saturday night. You know me...I got a super good deal on the room. Also, the waterpark is included in the price...so it's not really that bad. Saturday night was going to be like $500 for 1 night. I ended up paying less than that for 2 nights, and we are going to be able to recover some of it because it was partially a work trip for Daniel.

About 15 minutes ago I told Nik about the prices at our GWL and then said "but you know Erika, she definitely found a killer deal somewhere!" LOL. If our kids were older, it would be worth the cost. The cheapest rooms were $249 on weekdays.

Agreed. It was ideal for the 2-3 older kids. Xander of course had fun...but it wouldn't have been worth it if we hadn't had B&J.
