Happy Halloween

Cleopatra, Princess Peach, and Princess Zelda. Scooby Doo was very tired and screaming "I NOT DOING IT!" about wearing his costume. So he rode over to the Trunk or Treat in his t-shirt and pull-up and got his costume on in the parking lot. He really came around on wearing it when he realized there was candy involved. I had to put his costume back on this afternoon to take his picture. :)

Leia struck that pose all on her own. I don't know where she learned it, maybe preschool. Julianne finally smiles.

This costume was the most time consuming, but I was happy with how it turned out. I totaled up the costume making hours to around 20 hours all together. I don't think that was too bad for 3 costumes.

It is always hard to get a good picture of the pumpkins. My Dr Who pumpkin got a lot of response, but very few people knew who Dr Who was. They kept calling it a police man, because of the "police box" in the image. Technically it was Xander's Dr Who. He wanted nothing to do with carving a pumpkin, so I carved his. Xander and Leia's pumpkins are in the top picture. Bella's is on the left in the bottom picture, Juli and Daniel carved Sleeping Beauty together (she requested assistance).

Your costumes are amazing. Seriously. I put together Ian's chain mail with a glue gun. I'm in awe.

There is a lot of glue gun, duct tape, velcro, etc involved in these costumes. My vision for the costumes they choose and my ability to execute them with technical proficiency are really at odds. How on earth did you hot glue chain mail? That sounds hard. I had to stitch those bead/garland strands on individually with fishing line because they wouldn't hold any other way.
